What strainer/filter to use?

Hi. Im making my own recipe for Pumpkin Spice Liqueur. Got a mason jar of Rum, Pumpkin mash and spices steeping. I will need to separate the pumpkin mash from the alcohol at some point, and I also wanna use the mash in a pie so it will have to be whole and usable after filtering out the liquids. Know of a good way to do this? I was thinking some kind of cloth…good idea or not? if so, what kind? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

i use a mesh stainless steel strainer or the stainless steel pan cover that looks like a screen to cover your pan to avoid splatter….. you push the liquid thru with a spoon… its time consuming but it works…
i make homemade tomato soup and i stew the tomatoes, run them thru the processor and then pour the tomatoes on the screen and push the liquid through with a large spoon or spatula
