Ring Sling

I cant get my sling to feel comfy (Side carry)

I bought a ring sling when my daughter was young, she didnt like it much it the cradle carry, so we stopped using it. she is now 8 months and i want to use it in the side carry (Hip carry) but it just doesnt feel comfy, it seems to drag down on my arm/neck. I think im getting it right but my instructions are naff and dont explain properly.

What brand is it? Different slings have different shoulders. At 8mo, your kiddo might be heavy enough that the sling will impinge on some nerves in your shoulder/neck. You just have to spread out the fabric and see what works best.

I switched to a two-shoulder carrier (Ergo, but a mei tai or wrap would work) when my kiddo was about 15 pounds (6.8kg).
