Describe your child’s clothing style. Brand-named clothing? Preppy? Athletic?

I thought this would be a fun question because I am seeing a lot of negative bashing around here. How do you dress your child(ren)? Where do you buy their clothing?
My son is 2 1/2 and all boy! He plays rough, gets dirty, and stinky!
No upscale brand name clothing here. I personally don’t care for the style of it, let alone the price tag! My son is the traditional T-shirt and shorts kinda kid. He wears a lot of athletic style outfits as well-they breathe easier. My son loves anything with sports or transportation.
I usually stick to department store brands like JC Penny, Mervyn’s, Kohl’s, Target, Old Navy, Sear’s, etc. At the outlet stores I like Osh Kosh & Carter’s. My son owns 1 Gymboree outfit-it was a gift.
I find these brands do wash and wear quite nicely with minimal shrinking & fading. We have only one child, so I don’t have to worry about saving clothing to pass down to another kid.
If I see a nice deal on Craigslist I’ll buy it.
How about the rest of you?

My children wear everything from brand names such as The Children’s Place and Gymboree to store brands such as Wal Mart. We go for quality and comfort-the name does not matter. Old Navy is one of my favorite stores.

Wal Mart’s Garanimals brand for toddlers make GREAT play clothes! When my children were younger (they are now 9 and 7), we had a lot of them. They hold up very well even with a lot of wear and tear. And the price is outstanding!

My daughter prefers shorts or skirts with shorts underneath, and a nice shirt or blouse. My son usually prefers jeans and a t shirt. They pick out things they like (as far as color, theme, etc) that I think they will be comfortable in.

My only rule is that I will NOT pay an outrageous price just for a name on the tag, and that my children must look like children…not little pimps or “prostitots”.
