Nap Blanket

Nap schedule for 4 mos. old?

My 4 1/2 month old daughter hates to nap. She has not been a good napper since day 1 and the dr. said it was probably in her personality. I’m trying to get her on a 2 time/day nap schedule, but it’s not working. She often doesn’t want to nap for more than 45 min. at a time and I can’t get her to sleep longer. I don’t think 45 minutes is long enough for a good nap and she is so exhausted by the end of the day. We go through the same routine for each nap, she has a Lovie blanket that helps sooth her ,and we run a fan for white noise. We’ve also made her room as dark as possible. She usually sleeps well at night, so that’s not an issue. I just want her to take two GOOD naps a day. Any suggestions????

I have to go with your doctor on this one…probably just in her personality. it’s very hard to get tiny babies on schedules…it’s great that she’s sleeping through the night. She probably just doesn’t want to miss all the excitement during the day! 45 minutes is a pretty good snooze for a 4 month old. Mine usually conks out for a half hour or so after eating and then perks right back up.
