How Do You Wash a Stuff Animal That Says “Hand Wash Only”?
I own this cute musical lamb that hangs on the door and you pulls it’s feet out and it will play a lullabye as the legs move back up to it’s resting state. This was my first daughter’s toy and she is now 6, so the toy has gotten dirty over the years. I found it in a box a few month ago and I want to give it to my new baby girl but I need to wash it, but I cant because of the internal music box, but the toy is very dirty as it’s primarly white with a pink bow. Any suggestions?
wipe it with a washcloth soaked in warm water with a little hand/dish soap. i have also seen/heard of people using those “dry bath” cloths made for pets… but i have used the first method, and it works.

Typical for Kander and Ebb, there was also a show within a show, such that it was really about a group of old Broadway troupers playing poor, aging people in a hotel going on a crime spree, which allowed for songs like “Broadway, My Street.” And also typical for the songwriting team, Kander turned out 1920s pastiche music (appropriate for the over-70 performers), while Ebb simultaneously celebrated and satirized the material. Typical was “Coffee in a Cardboard Cup,” in which Lillian Hayman and Goldye Shaw explained that “the trouble with the world today” was that “everything is hurry up.” Meanwhile, Lucie Lancaster and Gil Lamb addressed the question of septuagenarian sex in “Do We?” Star Mildred Natwick finally examined the inevitable question of death in “The Elephant Song” before her character actually did die, which did not keep her from coming back at the close for the affirmative closer, “Yes.” There were, thus, a few good songs, even if 70, Girls, 70 was a minor effort from a major Broadway team. ~ William Ruhlmann, Rovi |

A Day at the Farm with Farmer Jason $13.96 Jason Ringenberg is best known as the firebrand frontman of Jason & the Scorchers, but he’s also a parent, and, like most dads, he’s more than a little tired of Barney the dinosaur and whatever other character Disney is hawking this month dominating the listening habits of his kids (as well as those of fellow parents around him). Literally taking the bull by the horns, Ringenberg has cut an album for children which takes the form of a musical day on the farm, in which “Farmer Jason” introduces us to various barnyard critters, takes us on a tractor ride, and tells us all about life on the back-40 (which, since Ringenberg owns a farm, is something he knows a bit about). While Ringenberg is obviously mindful of his youthful target audience on A Day at the Farm With Farmer Jason, both lyrically and musically (especially on “The Doggie Dance” and “Hey, Little Lamb”), there’s more than a bit of the revved-up country-rock that’s become Ringenberg’s trademark, with “I’m A Hog Hog Hog” and “Guitar Pickin’ Chicken” kicking up more dust than you’d expect from an album for tots, and even the less challenging numbers boast some fine picking from multi-instrumentalist George Bradfute and enthusiastic performances from Ringenberg. While he keeps the tone light, Ringenberg also sounds like a guy who’s had some real world experience with kids, and this album drops the saccharine overtone of most children’s albums in favor of a hootenanny for young people that speaks to its audience on their own level. Besides, which would you rather sing along with your kids: “I love you, you love me,” or “I’m an old cow, I only have two speeds/Slow or slower, they work just fine for me”?
