Restraints? To much?

I was going through a rough time, and one thing led to another and well…….. I was thinking very strongly about suicide. So I went to the hospital, because in the back of my mind I was soooo scared of myself! And because of my state, and the lack of security in the hospita, they put me in leather restraints. This inculed my hands, feet, and chest (5 point). For some reason this went on for 2 days, one side of me wanted to kill myself and take the easy way out, and the other side of me was scared and didn’t want to die (yes I know that this is wierd). So there I was over 48 hours not being able to move, and scared to death. I coudn’t have any visitors, I needed someone to talk to so bad, but I guess this was for my own good??? Please give me advise, not rude remarks!

If you are wondering how I used the bathroom in that amount of time, I have to wear diapers 24/7 for (#1), and I don’t (#2) on myself, but they made me because I couldn’t realy get up and goto the restroom

That is awful. They should never restrain you like that unless you attacked someone with a knife in the ward. That certainly isn’t going to help someone who is suicidal.

You should file a complaint. I’m serious. The way they treated you was abusive and terrible.
