How do I sew a fleece border on a baby blanket?
I am trying to sew a two sided fleece blanket w/ attached fleece border. I cut four 7″ wide fleece strips the length of each side plus a little extra. Folded in half to 3 1/2″ and placed them with folded side inward inbetween right side facing top and bottom.. I plan to stitch leaving several inches to turn it right side out. Please advise how to sew corners so the border will lay properly when turned right side out. Thanks..
I sew straight off each corner and then trim diagonally and a bit on each side of the corner.
Take two scraps and test this so you do not cut too close to the stitching.
Turn and top stitch 1/2′ from the edge – test this also for the best looking stitch length.
