First bunny tips for me?

so im getting my first bunny soon and i want to know i am 100% ready to care for it. im reading books and stuff or atleast trying to. also i’m getting a baby holland lop. if you have any websites, please post them for me to see! here are my questions:

the bunny will be living in my basement (heated and air conditioned), will she get lonely? should i get another bunny to keep her company?

should i buy a special bunny brush for her(and/or him)?

do i have to get it spayed/neutered? they will not come into contact with any other rabbits either so no breeding what so ever.

how do i go about introducing them to my dogs and cats? or should i even? i just want to keep her safe.

how often should i check on her during the day?

1. she will get lonely if you don’t spend a lot of time with her. bunnies like to be with the family and like attention like lots of petting. getting another bunny would be good because they will bond and be inseparable .
2.make sure you don’t get one of the metal bristle brushes because their skin is very delicate under all that fur. it’s also good to keep the hair around their butthole clipped because it can get matted and cause big problems.
3.for female bunnies getting them spayed is highly recommended because they can get cancer with their woman parts and getting them spayed can prolong their lives by years. for boy bunnies I think it can help calm them down.
4.if you do, do it slowly it should be fine but you shouldn’t ever leave them alone.you never know when instinct can take over in a dog. when I was younger i had a bunny that got along great with the dog we raised them together and one day the dog was playing chase and lets just say one of them didn’t make it out alive.
5.I would say several times at least plus at least 2 hour out of the cage a day my bunny is only put away when we are sleeping or not at home and we have a rabbit proof room so when she is locked up it’s in a room not a cage.
also please don’t be discouraged if your bunny doesn’t want to be held right away or is nervous around you and other people this is normal. they take more time to adapt and trust and not all bunnies like to be held but love being pet and getting attention . make sure your bunny has lots of things to chew on and play with so it doesn’t get bored. and make sure to give it unlimited timothy hay it really helps with digestion and their teeth. after time you will have a wonderful bond with your bunny mine is like a child to me. I never expected that with a bunny.
