Red dots on my 2yr olds feet, hands and bottom?
My 2 yr old daughter started to get this what looked like a diaper rash but then cream wasn’t helping. They look like little red dots that aren’t raised or blister like. I noticed this morning that she had a bunch of level red dots on the bottom of her feet and a few on the palms of her hands. I looked at pictures of foot, hand mouth disease and they dont look like that at all. Does anyone know what this could possibly be?
typically, hand foot mouth has red based blisters, which tend to be oval in shape and grayish in color. Since you didn’t describe this, then I doubt that it’s HFM, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not some other viral disorder, which hasn’t progressed enough to be distinguishable yet. In addition, there are other “hypersensitive” reactions that can resemble what you’ve described, but without further history, it’s really not possible to be any more exacting than this. If your child becomes at all ill, I’d take her to the ER, and hopefully if they aren’t sure, they will call for a dermatology consult.
