Trying to figure out if I will need to file my taxes this year…?

I worked as a paper carrier from June 1st through the end of the year.

I made roughly over $4,000 and possibly more. Taxes weren’t taken out each paycheck.

I’m 33 years old so I’m not a teenager by any stretch. I also have 5 children, but my fiance will be claiming 3 of them and me 2 if I do need to file my taxes. She will file head of household since she made more then me by about $16,000 (moral of that story… don’t live in the Southern Tier of NYS where jobs are very hard to come by 8-P)

Will I be receiving a 1099? I know that they have till the 31st of January, but it’s getting kind of late and I’m getting worried as we already have need of the refund.
As far as I know, I can’t file head of household since we both live in the same home and I didn’t provide more then 50% of the house upkeep.

Is this correct?

if you claim Head of Household with your 2kids (providing they are your blood children) you should see a return with about $1600

now your fiance with same scenario (no taxes taken) also files Head of Household with their 3 kids should see a return of about $5220 and if they had any taxes taken (box2) add that to the amount above..

and dont think “Oh if my fiance gets that much they should claim all the kids!!”… trust me this is the maximum
