How to Camouflage a rifle like off Shooter?

I would like to know how to camo your rifle like of A scene on the film ‘Shooter’ you see Bob lee swagger spray painting his rifle. Thanks.

It’s not that hard to do. The important things are; tape off areas to keep paint out of the action or bore, cleaning it with acetone for a good paint bond and a quality paint. I have done a few guns, trucks, boats etc etc.

Here is how I do it. I clean off all the oil from the metal parts with acetone, if it’s a wood stock I clean that with acetone, if it’s a synthetic stock I clean it off with alcohol. Wearing clean cotton or latex gloves is important to keep the oil from your skin off the gun as you work on it. I plug the bore with an soft ear plug, carefully tape off the parts of the action I don’t want pain on or in. In some cases its better to take the stock off. Hang the gun by a heavy wire. Then go over the gun or stock with the lightest color you will be using. Then use the next lightest color in a random pattern. Let all that dry then take leaves or small sticks and grass. A small branch with leaves works well, hold it against the gun and spray the darkest color over it. This will leave a dark shadow in the shape or the leaves. It makes for a nice effect, here is one I did, the flash from the camera made it look shiny but its not;

After you paint it keep it in a warm dry place for several days to let the paint dry hard.
